Shaya
From small talk to deep dialogue through intentional design
Challenge: Design a mobile platform that transforms superficial digital interactions into meaningful conversations - helping people explore their inner worlds and connect authentically with others through guided reflection and shared experiences.
Vision: By introducing thoughtful prompts and an intimate audio-based interface, Shaya aims to create a new paradigm for digital connection - targeting deeper conversation engagement and improved sense of belonging among users struggling with digital isolation.

🌑 Background
In 2024, amid growing concerns about social media's impact on mental health and authentic connection, we identified an opportunity to redesign how people connect digitally. Traditional platforms prioritize performance metrics and shallow engagement, leaving many feeling more isolated despite being "connected." Shaya was conceived as an antidote – a thoughtfully designed mobile experience that would guide users through meaningful reflection and foster genuine connection through vulnerability and active listening.
